Food should be designed with care for people and the systems it depends on. This means grounding decisions in solid scientific and regulatory understanding, thinking beyond short-term outcomes, and taking responsibility for the long-term consequences of what we create. Just as importantly, it means passing this way of thinking on to the next generation of professionals who will shape the food system after us.
